Uniform or Dress Code?

    The Debate about high school dress codes revolves around whether students should wear school uniforms or allowed to attend school in their regular clothes. Uniforms have been in history for a long time but schools are starting to do dress code. Where I am living, mostly private schools use uniforms and public schools use dress code. Both uniforms and dress code have there advantages and disadvantages. Here are some below:

Uniforms

*Advantages

• Uniforms are cheaper than buying regular clothes.
• You can wake up later because you already know what your going to wear.
• No one can judge you because everyone is wearing the same thing.
• Shows school spirit.

*Disadvantages

• No Self-Expression 
• Certain schools with school uniforms are so strict that they refuse to let children with religious backgrounds wear items that are important to them.

Dress code

*Advantages

• You can express yourself.
• You seem to feel more free.
• Feel comfortable in what you wear.

*Disadvantages

• Makes teens think they can wear what ever they want.
• Wearing inappropriate clothing to school.
• Harder job for school administrators.
